BeeKind Well-Being Day, Burtonwood Beer Festival and New Warrington Kit

Good morning, Warrington! Monday is here, but who says the fun has to stop? Let’s kickstart the week with some exciting upcoming events.

In today's edition:

  • 🙏 BeeKind Well-Being Day

  • 🍺 Burtonwood Beer Festival

  • 🏉 What Do You Think of Warrington’s New Kit?

  • 😄 Plus, From The Papers, Wordle and More

I hope you enjoy reading “From Warrington” as much as I do writing it. If you have any feedback or suggestions for what you’d like to see included in the future, hit reply and let me know.

Grab your favourite brew, and let's start. ☕️

Burtonwood Beer Festival

Get ready for the 9th Burtonwood Community Centre Beer Festival from Friday, 8th to Saturday, 9th November 2024.

Enjoy a fantastic range of cask ales and ciders, a prosecco and gin bar, and food and snacks.

Live entertainment includes Monty Scott on Friday night, Rock Choir on Saturday afternoon, and Paul Hand on Saturday night. Entry is £5 (cash only), and all proceeds support Willowbrook Hospice and Home Start Warrington & Cheshire.

BeeKind Wellbeing Day 🙏

I’m happy to share this charity event that’s already getting a lot of attention on Facebook: Bee Kind’s Monthly Well-Being Day, which will be held on November 9th from 11 AM to 5 PM at The Old School, 17 Fairfield St, Warrington.

There will be talks, craft stalls, spiritual readings, therapies, and a café for a relaxed chat with others. It’s a great opportunity to connect and support a good cause, with the £3 entrance fee going to a different charity each month.

New Warrington Kits Revealed 🏉

The club, alongside kit partner O’Neills, has revealed the new home and away kits. The home kit sticks with classic primrose and royal blue, while the away kit makes a splash with a fresh lilac design and darker purple details.

Both kits were launched at the Halliwell Jones Stadium fireworks event and are now available in-store and online.

So, what do you think of the new kits? Vote in our poll and let us know. My favourite one was the black and red one we had years ago.

More info about the kits is available here.

I am following on with the “places” theme. As it is just one word, it might just be a part of the name of something. These Wordles are not easy to think up at times. Good luck with this one :)

Sport 🏉

I have had several people asking me to include results about Rylands as well as Warrington Town. So going forward we will always try and include this for you 😄

⚽️ Warrington Town suffered a tough 3-0 home loss to South Shields after a nightmare first half. All three goals came in the opening 30 minutes, with the Yellows unable to mount a comeback. Despite a brighter second half, they couldn’t break through, with their best chance denied by goalkeeper Myles Boney.

⚽️ Warrington Rylands secured an impressive 3-0 win over Basford United at The Hive Arena, marking their third consecutive victory and lifting them out of the relegation zone. Goals from Ben Hardcastle (penalty), Harrison Hopper (volley), and Ntumba Massanka sealed the win. A strong all-around performance earned Alex Kiwoyma Man of the Match honours.

Thanks 👍️
