Birchwood Repair Cafe 🔨 

The Birchwood Repair Cafe was a big hit last time it appeared in the newsletter, and it’s back for one final session this year!

• 📅 When: Saturday, 14th December

• 📍Where: Birchwood Youth and Community Centre, Delenty Drive

• ⏰ Time: 10am to 12:30pm (check-in for repairs by 12pm)

This month’s session is a little shorter, but everything else is business as usual. Bring along your bikes, small electrical items, electronics, clothing, soft furnishings, and toys for free repairs.

A great chance to get things fixed and save them from landfill before the year ends.

Updated Bin Collections 🗑️ 

With the festive bank holidays falling midweek, bin collection days in Warrington will be changing over Christmas and New Year. Make sure to check your updated schedule to avoid missing your collection!

🎨 Warrington Paint Party - The Waterside, 7pm | No painting experience needed – just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to have a blast.

🎅 Festive Tea with Father Christmas - Bents Garden Centre, 4:30pm | The Festive Tea with Father Christmas includes a delicious homemade Christmas plate for your little one to indulge in.

Tuesday

🦃 Turkey and Tinsel - Chapelford Farm, 12pm | Singing, dancing, bingo and fabulous food.

♦️ Redtooth Poker - Seven Woods Pub, 7:30pm

🎄 Christmas Bingo - Warrington Disability Partnership, 6pm | Refreshments are available and fancy dress optional.

👶 Toddler Morning - Jungle Mania, 9:30am | An opportunity to make new friends for adults (while you have the chance to enjoy a coffee & cake while the children play) and children enjoy a FREE juice & biscuit and play safely with others pre-schoolers.

🍞 Learn to Bake Christmas Show Stopper Breads - The Olive Tree, 6pm | Learn how to bake a Christmas party showstopper, tear and share bread roll wreath.

Wednesday

🎄 Once Upon a Christmas Fairytale - Winmarleigh House, 6:30pm | Come and join the Christmas show with Cinderella, our Bold as Brass band and Beautiful Noise choir. It’ll get you into the festive magic and won’t disappoint.

🕺 West Coast Swing Class - Winwick Leisure Centre, 7pm | No need for a partner, Flat/low-heeled, smooth-soled shoes are ideal.

🕯️ Carols by Candlelight - St Marys & St John R C Church, 4:30pm | Hosted by our school, join us for Carols by Candlelight.

Thursday

🧠 Gavin and Stacey Quiz - Eagle and Spaceman, 8pm | It's time to get all festive with a Gavin and Stacey quiz.

💕 Fast Flirting (Activity Angels) - Dorado Lounge, 7pm | This is a fundraising event to raise some money for their CIC, whilst also following our mission to help reduce loneliness locally by helping people make connections.

🎤 Exclusive Evening with Russel Watson - Bents Garden Centre, 6pm | As well as indulging in a 2-course meal, you will be entertained by Russell Watson for an evening of Christmas ballads.

😆 Comedy, Christmas & Carols - Parr Hall, 7:30pm | Get ready for a night of laughs, festive cheer, and sing-along carols at the Parr Hall - it's gonna be a jolly good time.

🍕 Pizza, Prosecco & Pottery Painting - Craft & Common, 6pm

💐 Christmas Flower Arrangement Demonstration - All Saints Church, 1:30pm | Their talented ladies will guide you through various Christmas flower arrangements, while sharing entertaining anecdotes.

🎉 Christmas Party Night with Live Dancing Through the Decades - The Village Hotel, 7pm | Dancing Through the Decades Live Show with Shane Nolan.

• Tuesday: ⛅ Another partly cloudy day, feeling cooler with temperatures between 7°C and 3°C.

• Wednesday: ☁️ Mostly cloudy skies with a chill in the air. Expect highs of 6°C and lows of 3°C.

Sport 🏉 

⚽️ Warrington Town's home game against Curzon Ashton has been rescheduled for Tuesday, December 10, with a 7:45 PM kick-off.

The match, originally set for Saturday, was postponed due to Storm Darragh and safety concerns for spectators and players. This is the second rescheduling, following its initial postponement in November due to Curzon Ashton’s FA Cup commitments.
