Christmas Films at the Odeon and New Italian Opening in Town

Good morning, Warrington! Mike here. Alright, it’s official—December’s here, so it’s finally acceptable to put the tree up without getting strange looks from the neighbours. If you’ve been holding out, now’s your moment. Let’s take a break from untangling those lights and look into what’s happening around town.

In today's edition:

  • 📽️ Classic Christmas Films @ The Odeon

  • 🇮🇹 San Marino Italian Restaurant Opening This Week

  • 🙏 Bee Kind Christmas Wellbeing Day

  • 😃 Plus, lots more.

Grab your favourite brew, and let's start. ☕️

Classic Christmas Films @ The Odeon 🎅 🎥

I’m signed up to the Odeon email list, and this came through this week. I thought it would be worth sharing.

You can’t beat the classic films, can you? I think we watch Home Alone 1 and 2 every year in our house…… but this year, we might head out to the cinema for a change.

To see what’s on, click this link, scroll down, then where it shows the dates, click the toggle that says “show all films.” That way, you should be able to see the dates the classic films are on.

San Marino Italian Restaurant Opening This Week 🇮🇹

We featured this a few months back as they currently took over a former steak house…. which was the Coach and Horses pub before that.

Well, the good news is that it's opening this Saturday, December 7th. I am not sure I will have time to try it before Christmas, but if you end up visiting, send us an email and let us know what you think of it.

Bee Kind Christmas Well Being Day 🙏

Join Bee Kind for their Christmas Well-Being Day on Thursday, 14th December, from 11 am to 5 pm at The Old School, Fairfield Road, Warrington.

This festive event offers engaging talks, craft stalls, therapists, and spiritual readers. Kids can visit Santa’s Grotto for £5, including a photo, gift, and emailed memory! There’s also a tombola and raffle with great prizes. Entry is £3, with proceeds supporting a different charity each month (children enter free).

Find out more on their Facebook page.

⚽️ Warrington Town secured a hard-earned point at home against in-form Chester in front of 2,296 fans at the Cal.Delivery Stadium. Connor Woods scored from the penalty spot, but after Josh Amis was sent off, Chester equalized through Harrison Burke’s late header. The Yellows held firm for a well-deserved draw.
