Classic Car Show, New Shop in Town and What's On Guide

Good morning, Warrington! Ready for another jam-packed week of news, events, and activities? I got you 😀

In today’s From Warrington:

  • North Wests Casual Classic Car Show 🚗

  • New B&M Store in the Golden Square

  • What’s On This Week 🗓️

Let’s get to it.

North Wests Casuals Classic Car Show

This Sunday, the 8th of September, it’s the North West Casual Classics Car Show.

Where is it? It’s at RAF Burtonwood at Gullvers World. Everything should be set up and ready by 11 a.m.

What's there? Hundreds of vintage and classic cars and motorcycles will be on display. It’s a great event every year.

How much does it cost? Nothing, it’s free to enter!

For more details, check out their website.

New B&M Store Opening In The Golden Square

This is due to open on the 28th of September.

This isn’t the most exciting news in the world. However, it means we have a new shop opening in town, replacing an empty shop. It was previously Wilkos.

Sometimes, it's hard to find certain items in town, and B&M is a good all-around store that has a bit of everything. It also saves walking over to the other one in the retail park.

Get Your Blood Pressure Checked For Free

Know your numbers week 2024 runs from the 2nd to the 8th of September.

Where Are We Today?

One of my favourite features is simple: We’ll take a photo somewhere in Warrington, and you tell us where!

It's easy to guess the road, but can you work out exactly where I was sitting?

The answer will be in Wednesday’s newsletter.

Sport

It was a double whammy defeat for the 2 big teams in Warrington at the weekend 😢

🏉 Warrington had a close defeat to Leigh Leopards on Friday night (16-12). We were odds on favourite to win this. We are still 3rd in the table but falling off the pace of the top 2 now (Hull KR and Wigan).

⚽️ Warrington Town lost 2-1 to Needham Market. Thats 2 defeats on the bounce now which leaves us sitting 19th in the table.
