Festival Weekend 🎸 🍺 🎵 

Before we get into the what’s on guide for this weekend, we wanted to cover the festivals happening across Warrington, some of which you might not be aware of.

🎸 The Pick Fest - The Pickering Arms | 24th to 26th | Live music all weekend. Plus, there are bouncy castles for the kids with some stalls, a BBQ and stoned-baked pizzas.

🎸 Stone Fest - The Stonemill Pub, Sunday, 25th, 2:30 p.m. | There will be a DJ, Danny Martin, a Pink tribute singer, face painting, BBQ, and a sweet stall.

🎸 Crosfest - Crosfields | Saturday 24th, 12pm | Back for its 5th year. 10 live bands and plenty of food stalls. It looks set to be a great day out.

🎸 Monks Fest - Monks Sports Club | Sunday 25th, 12pm | Plenty of live music all day.

🕺 Creamfields | Daresbury | Needs no introduction, as you probably already know this is on. Watch out for the traffic nearby.

England’s Strongest Man At The Halliwell Jones Stadium 💪🏋️ 

England’s Strongest Man event is at the Halliwell Jones Stadium this weekend. It also features the UK’s Strongest Woman event.

Saturday

☘️ River Mersey Plankton Day - Fidlers Ferry Sailing Club, 11am | Something different for you. Explore what lives in the River Mersey. There will be ecologists on site to tell you all about it.

🛍️ Kenyon Hall Farm Artisan Market - Saturday, 10am - 4pm | A a great line up of local small businesses joining us with food, drink, dog treats, candles, jewellery, crafts, gifts

Bulls Head Bowling Competition | Bulls Head Pub, 1pm | - The final day for this years Bulls Head Bowling Competition

Sunday

🚗 Winwick Car Boot Sale | 5:30am - 1pm | The usual Sunday car boot is back and it should be a good one with it being the bank holiday.

🛍️ Whitemoss Garden Centre Artisan Market | 10am - 4pm | A great selection of small local businesses selling food, drink and gifts.

🙋 Community Litter Pick | Cabul Close (Orford), 9:45am | If you want to do something productive this weekend then get involved in a local litter pick.

🛝 LifeChurch Summer Fun Day | Cinnamon Brow Primary School | 11am - 1pm | A free event for all the family.

Monday

🚗 Winwick Car Boot Sale | There is always an extra car boot sale on Monday, the bank holiday. I don't know what time it starts, as they don’t say.

Just Outside of Warrington

If you don’t mind travelling, here are a few good events this weekend.

🗡️ Clash of Knights - Beeston Castle, Sunday 25th, 10am | An all-action contest as teams of knights battle it out for victory in a gruelling test of strength and skill.

🎸 Marbury Park Acoustic Music and Ale Festival - Friday to Monday - We mentioned this in a previous edition of From Warrington.

🍊 Fruit Festival—Primrose Nursery, High Legh | 24th, 25th, and 26th, 10am—4pm | It's a great event for the whole family, and entrance is free. There will be live music, local produce, food and drink, a showcase of fruit bushes and trees and Autumn plants, and lots more.
