Grandparents Go Free at Gullivers World 🎢

Celebrate Grandparents Weekend at Gulliver’s World with a special treat for the grandparents.

Two grandparents get free entry on Saturday and Sunday when accompanied by one full-paying person. This offer is available at all of Gulliver’s Theme Parks, so it’s the perfect chance for a fun family day out with the whole crew!

The Coffee House Opens At The Cockhedge Centre ☕️ 🍰

The Coffee House has opened its 25th store in the Cockhedge Shopping Centre. It already has one in the town centre that’s really popular, as sometimes it's hard to get a seat when I’ve been, and they also have another one on Widnes High Street.

This one looks set to be a great addition to the area. I imagine it will be popular with people visiting Asda. It is also a good location when all the apartments are built around it.

What’s On This Weekend 🗓️

Perhaps we are just in that period before Christmas and after the summer holidays, but there isn’t much on this weekend compared to others.

🧘 Self Care Mini Yoga Retreat - Appleton Parish Hall, 6pm | An evening of pure bliss and relaxation

☕️ Coffee and Craft (Gothic Glam Jewellery Set), 7pm | This workshop will help you to make your very own necklace and earring set using skull beads for a subtle nod to all things spooky whilst looking chic

Saturday

🏃 Park Run - Victoria Park, 9am | This is every Saturday, but I only put it in here sometimes. Its the start of the month, so give it a go.

🛤️ Trainmaster Cheshire - The Oaks Centre | A fun train day for kids - ride on an electric train, motorised trains and a there is a giant track.

💿️ Record Fair - Golden Square, 9am | Vinyl is back in fashion and there’s always a good selection of records to be found here.

🎢 Grandparents Go Free - Gullivers World, 10:30am | A great idea, grandparents can go free this weekend at Gullivers World. We are lucky to have such a large attraction on our doorsteps.

🍵 Pottery Pumpkin Mug Making - Phoenix House, 2pm | Create your own pumpkin mug 🧡 perfect for your autumn hot chocolates or pumpkin spiced lattes

🚶 October Walk and Talk - Victoria Park, 10am | Dads walk and talk in the fresh air come rain or shine. A chance to meet with other Dads, Dad Matters volunteers & Coordinators.

🧑‍🎤 Concert With All Creatures Great and Small - All Saints Church, 7pm | A wonderful evening with this local community choir, who sing for fun and well-being

🤣 Comedy Night Live - Burtonwood Community Centre, 7pm | This looks set to be a great night, make sure you get your tickets.

Clone Roses, Oas-is, The Smiths Ltd - Parr Hall, 6:30pm | If you love your 90s Brit pop then this could be the perfect night out for you.

🛍️ Walton Gardens Artisan Market - Walton Gardens, 10am | This has been a really popular market and makes a great little addition to a family day out at Walton Gardens.

🛍️ Thellwall Food and Craft Market - Thellwall Parish Hall, 11am |

The Healing Cafe - Quench and Pickle Cafe, 10am | This family-friendly event promises a day filled with shopping, delicious food, live music, and a children's games and craft zone located indoors.

🏃‍♀️ Junior Park Run - Orford Jubilee Hub, 9am | This event is held every Sunday, but again, we don't actively mention it.

🏉 Warrington vs Hull KR - Tonight at 8pm (away). Let’s hope this game is as good to watch as the last one. Hopefully, it doesn’t go to a golden point like last time! It will be a tough game, especially since it is an away game.

⚽️ Warrington Town vs Chorley (away), Saturday - 3pm. Here’s hoping we can get a win under our belts!

Where were we on Wednesday?

Did you manage to work it out? We were just off Palmyra Square. It's a little cut-through road (opposite Emily Bar) that leads to the road that brings you out opposite the Golden Gates.

The weather isn’t actually that bad this weekend. Make the most of your time outside on Saturday and maybe enjoy a family roast on Sunday when its raining.
