French Cafe, Rugby and What's On This Weekend
Good Morning, Warrington. Welcome to Friday's edition of From Warrington. We make every email we write fun and easy to read within 6 minutes.
In today's edition of From Warrington:
Have you visited the French cafe?
Where are we today? (Guess from the image)
Warrington takes on Wigan in the Rugby
Let’s get to it.
Have You Visited The French Cafe In Warrington?
The From Warrington team popped into Gourmand today (it was not our first visit), and we thought we should share our experience with you. It’s becoming really popular in Warrington and was voted the best cafe in 2022 by Warrington Guardian readers.
We got one of their baguettes, each with cheese and ham, and a nice coffee. Everything is made fresh by them.
Who's behind the cafe? “We are Olivia and Julien, 2 Frenchies living in Warrington for over seven years. Olivia comes from Montpellier, and Julien from Nîmes, both located in the South of France.”
The cafe is on Sankey Street (near the White Hart pub) and is open Wednesday through Sunday. Check out their Facebook and Instagram.
What’s Happening This Weekend
Wigan vs Warrington
Warrington travel to Wigan tonight for a top-of-the-table clash. They are at the top of the league with 28 points (we are on 26). They have a game in hand, so we need to win this game. Everyone will cheer us on, as no one likes seeing Wigan win.
It’s an away game, and tickets are still available here.

Where Are We Today?
This is quite an easy one today. One of the best rainbows we have seen in a while was taken by one of our readers, Jill.
Let us know if you pass the “Warringtonian Test” and if you can work out where we are.
Congratulations to those who got last Friday’s photo correct. It was a tricky one, wasn’t it? The correct answer was Fiddlers Ferry Marina.
If you need help with this week’s picture, reply to this email, and we can send you a clue.
This Weekends Weather
It's mid-July; we should be at “peak summer” with blue skies, but you can never predict the British weather. Sunday is looking like the best day for a family outing.
Friday - 🌤️ 19 degrees with some sun
Saturday - 🌧️ - 18 degrees, cloudy with some rain
Sunday - 🌤️ - 23 degrees with plenty of sunshine
Thanks!
