Is Warrington Park Run One of The Best? Plus, Bus Changes, Wordle and More

Good morning, Warrington. Mike here! Sometimes, it’s nice to just ramble through the week, isn’t it? A bit of local chat, a tricky game of Wordle, and maybe even a peek at a new house. So take a breather – there’s plenty to get stuck into below.

In today’s From Warrington:

  • Is Warrington Park Run One of The Best? 🏃

  • Christmas Bus Changes 🚌

  • Where are we Wednesday 📸

  • House of the Week 🏘️

  • Warrington Wordle 🧠

Let’s get to it.

Is Warrington Park Run One of The Best?

For anyone thinking about running in the new year to get fit (I know I am), give our local Park Run a go. I honestly think it's one of the best ones around as it always gets lots of attendance each Saturday. It’s a really flat course and perfect for beginners.

What is Park run? It’s a free 5k event every Saturday at 9am at Victoria Park.

You must register for a barcode online (it takes 2 minutes, and there’s an app). Then you turn up and run with hundreds of others. Plenty of people also walk it as well. You take it at your own pace, but it is an excellent start to the weekend, and it motivates you when you see everyone else running.

Here is a link to our local park runs website, and here is their Facebook page, which is good to follow for updates.

What other local ones do you do that you recommend? Let us know.

Christmas Bus Changes 🚌

I took a picture of this that I saw the other day that I thought you might find useful. There are a few changes to buses on the days you would expect, but this might be good to refer back to sometimes.

I also found a link to it here on their website.

Where Are We Wednesday? 📸

This is a feature that hasn’t been included for a while. It’s a tough one but will be visited by a lot of you. The answer will be in Friday’s email or feel free to reply with your guesses.

Warrington Wordle (#53) 🧠

Welcome back to Wordle Wednesday.

It was great to hear last week that even though Wordle is only once a week now, you are all happy about it. I think having it in every newsletter was a bit too much.

Let me know how you get on with today’s.

House of the Week 🏠️

This is just a house that we pick out off Rightmove that we think others might like to know about.

If you’re looking for a mix of character and convenience, this larger period terrace on Knutsford Road might be the one for you. It’s got bags of charm with its bay-fronted exterior, three double bedrooms, and those lovely period features you just don’t get in modern builds.

Inside, it’s surprisingly roomy. You’ve got an open-plan lounge and dining room (perfect for having friends round), a breakfast kitchen with integrated appliances, plus a utility and downstairs WC to keep things practical. Upstairs, there’s a four-piece bathroom and a handy loft for extra storage – or a future project if you’re thinking big.

The south-facing garden is the cherry on top, catching the sun when it decides to show up. Oh, and there’s no chain, so it’s ready to go.

It’s up for offers over £325,000, and if you’re after space and character in a brilliant location, this one’s worth a look.

Take a look at here on Rightmove.
