Rudy's Pizza Review, Free Comedy Night and Shops We Want Back in Town
Good morning, Warrington. Mike here! This is From Warrington, the local newsletter that's as satisfying as hitting all green lights when you're running late.
In today’s From Warrington:
🍕 We review Rudy’s Pizza

Let’s get to it.
Pizza Reviews: Episode 1: Rudys Pizza (Stockton Heath) 🍕
I love food, and you love food, and everyone loves pizza, right?
I am starting with what has to be one of the best pizza places in Warrington. It serves true Neapolitan pizza. I have eaten here at least five times and am glad it's on the other side of town from where I live; otherwise, I would be here a lot more.
I know what you are thinking: “He's picked a mushroom pizza; why would he do that?” It's a valid question 😆 I have never had one before and wanted to try it. It was lovely, but it doesn’t quite beat a basic cheese and tomato pizza. Luckily, my wife didn’t eat all of her pizza, so I also hoovered up some of hers.
It’s a great pizza place. They keep it simple.
They don’t serve chips or any other kind of Italian food. There are a few basic sides.
Service can sometimes be a little slow, which is the only bad thing I can say.
I have one friend who, whenever we go out, still talks about “that time we went to Rudy’s”, as he said it was one of the best places he has eaten at.
Get the 3 dips with your pizza. They are great, especially the chilli honey if you like something hot.
The prices are great! It is very affordable compared to some places.
Make sure you book on the weekends.
What Pizza place should be in the newsletter next? Let me know by replying to this email.
Shops We Want Back in Town
We know most of these chains have gone bust, but this is just a bit of fun. If you could bring back one shop to the town centre, which one would it be? My vote would be a Marks and Spencer food shop, similar to the one in Stockton Heath.

Summer Fun Fair
If you are stuck for something to do for the rest of the week, head to Victoria Park in Widnes. (It’s better than our Victoria Park.) They have a funfair in its last week, until the 27th of August.

Where Are We Today? 📸
This was taken last week when the weather was good. The background is blurred, but it’s somewhere in town. Can you guess where I was sitting enjoying this beer?
