The Great Warrington and Latchford Duck Race 🦆
Something a bit different for you today. This is the Great Warrington and Latchford Duck Race.
Where is it? It’s at Warrington Rowing Club, underneath Kingsway Bridge.
What time does it start? Sunday, September 1st. The event starts at 12, with the ducks setting off at 2 p.m. along the River Mersey.
There will be fun for the whole family and food stalls.

🎤 Toyah and Roberts Rock Party - Parr Hall | Toyah Willcox and Robert Fripp are bursting out of their kitchen again for the summer of 2024 and hitting the road for an evening of classic rock.
Saturday
🏃 Park Run - Victoria Park, 9am - This is every Saturday. Anyone can turn up and run a 5k with hundreds of others. It’s brilliant.
🛍️ Three Elms Summer Fete - Three Elms Care Home, 11:30 - 3:30pm | Their annual summer fete will feature a tombola, bottle tombola, Teddy tombola, lucky dip, raffle, bake sale, food, and drinks.
🎆 Summer Sparks Spectacular - Gullivers World | This is a day when the rides are open later, and the day ends with a big fireworks display.
🛝 Winwick Leisure Centres Family Fun Day - Winwick Leisure Centre, 12pm - 5pm | A fun-filled day of activities, food, drinks, and entertainment!
Queen's Greatest Hits With The Bohemians - Parr Hall, 7:30pm - A Queen tribute act performing the classics.
🎤 Beginners Photography Class - Warrington Bank Quay Train Station 10am - 3pm | Check the Facebook page for more info.
🐕️ Community Dog Walk - Walton Gardens, 10am - 12pm | Their first Community Dog Walk at Walton Park Hall. This is an ideal opportunity to meet other dog owners and also socialise your dogs .

🧠 The Ultimate Disney Pub Quiz - Seven Woods Pub, 7:30pm | If you think you are the biggest Disney fan, then get down to the pub quiz and prove it!
💰️ Grab a Grand - Buzz Bingo, 7pm | A bingo event where you win a grand.
🏡 Heritage Weekend Preparation - St Oswald’s Church, Winwick, 9:30am - 11:30am | If you want to do something to help out this weekend, then you can cut back the verge alongside St Oswald’s church in preparation for the fantastic Heritage Weekend on the 7th & 8th September.
📖 Book Lovers Club - Rhode Island Coffee, 11am - 12:30pm | If you want to meet people and feel part of a friendly community book club then check it out.
🛍️ Artisan Food and Craft Market - Walton Gardens, 10am, 4pm | This is a really popular event full of local craft stalls.

🤫 Sunday Sound Bath - Lymm Hall, 6:30pm | Join them for a Sunday evening for a sound bath experience, where you'll be enveloped in soothing sounds that promote deep relaxation and stress relief.

🐺 Warrington Wolves take on Leigh Leopards at 8pm on Friday. This is an away match, but you get get tickets here.
⚽️ Warrington Town takes on Needham Market at 3pm on Saturday. Hopefully, they can bounce back from the 2-1 defeat they had last time. Get your tickets here.
⚽️ Man United vs Liverpool - Not 100% Warrington related, but let’s face it, most of us that live here are either United or Liverpool. This kicks off at 4:30pm on Sunday so the pubs will be packed.
Where were we on Wednesday?
If you didn’t know, we were on the bridge over the River Mersey just near Saxon Park. It’s part of the Transpennine Trail, so I am sure many of you would have cycled over it.
