Wednesday 31st July

New restaurant, Free Krazy golf and Hop, grape and grain festival

Wednesday 31st July

Good Morning, Warrington. Rise and shine for another Wednesday edition of From Warrington. We keep it light and fun, perfect for a quick 5-minute read (roughly).

In today's edition:

  • New restaurant opening on Palmyra Square

  • Free Krazy golf on Time Square

  • Hop, grape and grain festival

Let’s get to it.

New Restaurant Opening On Palmyra Square

We were walking around town yesterday and noticed this new development that's taking place. This was formally the home of DATS Recruitment.

Not much else is known about it at the moment. Last week, we saw work taking place inside with plenty of work. We will let you know an opening date as soon as we know. It's a fairly big building, and we are sure it will make a welcomed addition to what is already happening on Palmyra Square.

All we know at the moment is that it's called Patina, but we don’t know what sort of cuisine it will serve. If you know more than us, please let us know.

Free Krazy Golf

One for all the parents who need something free to do this week.

There is free krazy golf this Thursday, the 1st of August, from 10 am to 4 pm.

You can find out more here.

Sam Burgess signs a new rugby contract

We’ve got some exciting news about Warrington Wolves. Head Coach Sam Burgess has just signed a new contract extension, keeping him with us until the end of the 2026 season! 🎉

Since joining us a year ago, Sam has done wonders for the team, both on and off the field. In his first season, he led the Wolves to the Challenge Cup final in June, and now, we’re sitting proudly at the top of the Super League table as we head into the crucial part of the season.

Hop, Grape & Grain Festival

This Saturday, August 3rd, and Sunday, August 4th, the Hop, Grape, and Grain Festival returns to Warrington Market.

What is it? “The festival is a celebration of the best in real ale, craft lagers, wines, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks, accompanied by world street food and live music.

The event will feature inhouse beer slingers, the Hop Emporium, alongside fellow Cookhouse residents and cocktail masters, Pink Leaf Cocktail Co. with their own signature drinks”

The weather looks great, and they also have an outdoor beer hut. We will call in for a drink (or two) this weekend.
