Market Food Review 1: ThatZiki (Greek Food) 🇬🇷 

A few users emailed me and asked me to add some reviews of the market food stalls. I will always try to stay positive during these reviews; these are people's businesses. I am also no food critic; I am just a normal bloke who loves food (sometimes too much). That Ziki opened in May and I had heard good things about it.

This review took place with 2 friends as we all picked different restaurants (more reviews coming soon).

I went for the mixed meat Gyros.

Here is what we liked:

• A nice portion size. Perfect for a lunch and not too filling.

• Love the chips inside the Gyros.

• Fast - Out of the places we ordered from mine came out first

• It was exactly what you would expect from a Greek wrap. I would 100% order this again.

Activity Angels 👼 🧶 🚶‍♀️ 

I contacted Activity Angels about adding some of their events to my emails, and they were very happy for me to do so.

I thought I’d share a bit more about them and include their September events calendar for you, as they have some events that might suit you. They are doing great work in Warrington, and I want to help support them.

Activity is a newly founded community organisation based in Warrington. Its mission is to reduce loneliness and social isolation in our community by bringing adults of all ages together and spreading positivity through activities.

Activities are open to all adults living locally who would like to make connections and meet with people locally whilst enjoying participation in group activities and events.

🙏 Mindful Monday - Westy Community Centre, 12:30pm | Reiki with Julie and meditation with Clair.

🎨 Paint and Sip (Bob Ross Sunset) - Dorado Lounge, 7pm | Join them for a creative night of drinking and painting in Warrington! No previous painting experience is necessary

💍 Make a Ring (taste session) - Fox Studios, 6:30pm - 9:30pm | In this taster session, Faith will help you to create one brass ring and one silver ring.

🧘‍♀️ Adult Hatha Yoga Class - St Wilfreds Parish Centre, 7pm | Join them for a guided authentic Hatha Yoga practice with a meditation or relaxation technique to close the practice

🐶 Dog First Aid Training - The Maltings Pub, 11am - 4pm | Designed with vets to give dog owners and people who work with dogs the skills and confidence to act in an emergency.

Tuesday

😃 Bingo Time (Activity Angels) - Rhode Island Cafe, 1:30pm - 3:30pm | Join them for bingo!

♥️ Redtooth Poker - Seven Woods Pub, 7:30pm | Weekly poker night that’s on every Tuesday.

😃 Double Delight Bingo - Buzz Bingo, 7pm | Join them for bingo.

🎨 Arts and Craft Club - Victoria House, Knutsford Road, 5pm - 8pm | Make forever flowers, learn to crochet and knit, clay making and lots more.

🚲️ Cycle Interest Group Ride - Transpennine Trail Ranger Station, 10am - 4pm | One of their Longer rides of around 25 to 40 miles dependent upon time of year and weather conditions.

Wednesday

♟️ Board Games Afternoon (Activity Angels) - Dorado Lounge, 1:30pm - 3:30pm | An afternoon fun session playing board games.

🍃 Autumn Wreath Making Class - Bents, 6pm - 8pm | Craft your very own wreath, perfect for your front door or a cozy spot inside your home

🖌️ Small Stags Workshop - Land end Nursery, 10am - 4pm | Make a willow stag on this one day workshop. Suitable for beginners and improvers.

📸 Photography Club - Belong Warrington, 5pm - 6:30pm | This new club will look at iconic images from a range of photographers.

👯 Dance Like A Mother - Croft Village Memorial Hall, 10:30am - 11:30am | Award Winning Babywearing Dance Class & Social Group

🧒 Wild Wednesday - The Jungle, 3:30pm | Jungle Rewards members play after school every Wednesday for just £1

Thursday

🧶 Beginners Spinning Workshop - Black Sheep Wool, 10:15am - 4:15pm | The Beginners Spinning workshop introduces you to this addictive skill. We will talk about fleece preparation, carding and by the end of the day you'll have a skein of your own hand spun yarn to take home with you.

🧚 Let’s Make A Fairy Plaque - Blooming Art, 10am - 2:30pm | In this class they will be decorating a wooden plaque, using Powertex, die cuts, material scraps, waxes etc

🎸 Acoustic Jam Night - The Albion Pub, 8pm - 11pm | The Acoustic Jamm Night's back this and every Thursday.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Studio H Social Club - Victoria House, 7pm - 9:30pm | Social club for adults with learning and physical disabilities, over 18s.

🙏 Stretton Sound Bath - St Matthews Church, 7:30pm | A relaxing and rejuvenating Sound bath experience In Stretton for a rejuvenating experience like no other
